SCTOA Mission Statement

The Mission of the Skagit County Training Officer Association is to provide high quality cost effective training opportunities, cultivate new members, and enhance our community through education and communication.

SCTOA Goals

  • Provide at least 1 FF1 recruit academy per year.

  • Provide at least 1 FF2 academy per year.

  • Provide at least 1 volunteer fire officer academy per year.

  • Update and promote the IRIS program semi-annually.

  • Deliver an annual "State of County Training" report to the Fire Chiefs Association.

  • Provide annual wild land firefighting classes.

  • Increase SCTOA representation at meetings to at least 50% of county fire departments for 2006.
